There is already a map in progress for a re1 mansion map, but it's time they have some competition. I want people commited to helping me make this map a reality. they've already got a headstart whereas i have no friggin clue where to start. i'll take all helpers and will split all credit with everyone equally. plz help out

If you don't have a clue where to start, you most likely won't get any volunteers. People want to work for someone who knows what they are doing. Learn to map first, release some stuff of your own for people to see then ask for volunteers.
